What is kizomba?
Kizomba is a genre of dance and a musical genre originated in Angola in the 1980s.
Kizomba means "party" in Kimbundu, a local language in Angola.
Kizomba is a couple dance, characterised by a slower, romantic, more sensual rhythm than the traditional Semba, from which it derived. The goal is to synchronize perfectly as a couple with the music and express it through elegant footwork, smooth body movement and attitude.
Kizomba has become very popular in the world, and has developed many styles, like Urban kiz and Kizomba fusion.
